Ready to schedule your Lip Filler appointment with us? Here's what you can expect:

Prep:  Avoid blood thinning medications (with a doctor’s consent) and herbal supplements (Advil, Motrin, Ibuprofen, Aspirin, Vitamin E, Fish Oil, CoQ10, Ginkgo, St. John’s Wort, Omega, Garlic) for 1-2 weeks prior to injections. Avoid alcohol for 1-2 days before and after injections. Start preventative medication for cold sores if you have a history of them.

Process: You will come in and have a full facial assessment. Ultimately, you and the provider will agree on a customized plan of treatment that achieves the results you desire.

Recovery Time: Avoid strenuous activity for 24 hours after treatment. Avoid applying pressure to the injection sites for several hours or days, as advised by your provider. Some fillers may require massage, so follow your provider's specific instructions.  Avoid intense sun exposure or heat and stay out of saunas or tanning beds. Avoid laying down for about 4 hours after treatment.

Minor swelling, soreness, and bruising at the injection sites are common and usually fade within a few days.  It's recommended to schedule treatments at least two weeks before a major event. 

The Results: You'll see the results of your filler instantly, but due to bruising and minor swelling immediately afterward, expect a week or two before the full results can be seen.
