Prep: Avoid any dental work and vaccines for two weeks prior to or post treatment. Avoid blood thinning medications (with a doctor’s consent) and herbal supplements (Advil, Motrin, Ibuprofen, Aspirin, Vitamin E, Fish Oil, CoQ10, Ginkgo, St. John’s Wort, Omega, Garlic) for 1-2 weeks prior to injections. Avoid alcohol for 1-2 days prior to injections and 24 hours after injections.

Process: You will come in and have a full facial assessment. Suggestions may be made based on professional opinion. Ultimately, you and the provider will agree on a customized plan of treatment that achieves the results you desire!

Recovery Time: Avoid strenous activity for 24 to 48 hours after treatment. Avoid touching the treated area and applying pressure to the injection sites for several hours or days, as advised by your provider. Some fillers may require massage, so follow your provider's specific instructions.  Avoid intense sun exposure or heat and stay out of direct sun, avoiding saunas or tanning beds. Avoid laying down for about 4 hours after treatment.

Most people can go back to work and daily routines right after the procedure.  However, minor swelling, redness, and bruising at the injection sites are common and usually fade within a few days.  There may be potential social downtime because while you should feel fine, the visible side effects might make you hesitant to attend important social events for a few days, depending on the severity of swelling and bruising. It's recommended to schedule treatments at least two weeks before a major event. 

The Results: You'll see the results of your filler instantly, but expect a week or two before the full results can be seen.
